Features

KUUKS soundproof wooden panels are made from environmentally friendly materials. They are safe for humans and the environment.

These panels have fireproof and acoustic properties. They can be used in various installations, including public and private spaces. Such as offices, restaurants, coffee bars, shops and residential buildings.

They can be used both as wall and ceiling finishing materials and as a design element for furniture. The base of the product is made of 7 or 9 mm thick polyester that comes in black or gray. It comes from a plastic recycling process.

This material is certified by the Global Recycling Standard (GRS). It does not contain harmful substances such as formaldehyde or pentachlorophenol. It is also classified as fire-resistant in category B-s1, d0.

The decorative part of the wooden panel is made of 12 mm thick MDF slats with veneer. These are fixed to the polyester base.

The MDF slat has a length of 2400 or 2800 mm and a width of 27 mm. It is fire-resistant in class B-s1, d0. The MDF slats are covered with veneer, which can be selected and agreed with the customer. The MDF slats are spaced 13 mm apart.

Cleaning

To clean dust, use a soft-bristled brush or microfiber cloth. Wet wipes are also effective. Use minimal water to avoid long-term damage to the slats.

Installation instructions

Step 1: Surface (wall) preparation

The wall must be flat, without nails or screws. You can optionally mount the panels to a wall without the need for a frame, where this is possible, depending on the wall. The panels can also be glued to the wall with liquid nail glue.

We recommend placing extra sound-absorbing material, such as rock wool, before the panels. With this combination, you have the highest class A rating for sound absorption.

Step 2

First, you need to make a frame out of wooden slats. It is recommended to fasten the slats at a distance of 60cm from each other.

Step 3

Then, 50cm thick rock wool or mineral wool is placed in the gaps between the shelves.

Step 4

Screw the panel to the wall. For each panel, we recommend 15 screws of 3 screws per row.

Step 5

If there is less space left at the end of the wall than the width of the panel, we recommend cutting the panel along the grid with a knife to the width you need.

Step 6

If your wall is higher than 2,400 mm? What should you do? The panels can be connected to each other. But it is important to apply in many cases.

We strongly recommend that you cut the edge of the panel with a circular saw by 1 mm, while the edge will become even. When connecting two panels, the seam will be barely visible.

If you need to cut half of the panel, then the part that you are going to cut – must be fixed very strongly, add 15 mm screws in advance or hit it with a stapler from the other side.

Step 7

To install the panels on a ceiling, the instructions are the same as on a wall. However, there are some very important additions! Since we live on Earth, the law of gravity applies here.

Before installing the panel on the ceiling, we strongly recommend additionally reinforcing the rails on the membrane by screwing them with screws or nailing them with a stapler, making at least 3 rows, as indicated in the figure.

Thus, we will exclude the relaxation of the drivers.
